Barry W. Davidson is a graduate of Gonzaga Law School, and was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association in 1977. For over thirty years, Mr. Davidson's practice has emphasized bankruptcy and receivership proceedings, with a focus on the representation of Debtors in Possession under Chapter 11, and service as a receiver and counsel to the receiver in state court proceedings. Mr. Davidson is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and has participated in presentation of continuing education materials on behalf of the Washington State Bar Association, the Spokane County Bar Association, the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Eastern District of Washington, the Risk Management Association, the National Business Institute, Lorman Education Services, and other legal and financial associations. Mr. Davidson has been a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute since 1987, and has been honored by inclusion in “The Best Lawyers in America.” Mr. Davidson's practice emphasizes out of court loan workouts and restructurings for commercial borrowers and guarantors.
In addition to numerous non-judicial restructurings, representative Chapter 11 engagements as debtor’s counsel include Metropolitan Mortgage & Securities, Co., Inc.; Health Link, the North Side Network and the Physicians Hospital Network; Sun Runner Marine, Inc.; Wespac Investors Trust III; and Real Estate Equities Corporation. Mr. Davidson also served as co-counsel to the creditors’ committee of Riley Creek Lumber Company; Omak Wood Products; and Output Technologies, Inc. Representative receivership cases as receiver include Washington Motorsports Limited Partnership; Pacific Security Companies, Inc.; Northwest Capital & Advisory Services, Inc.; RTC Investment Group, LLC; U.S. Mining Limited Partnership, and co-counsel to the receiver during the Chapter 11 proceedings of Pack River Holdings, Inc. and Schweitzer Mountain Resort, Inc.
